A empresa apresentou «os últimos avanços do protótipo de pneu inteligente, um sistema completo de informações de pneus que inclui umpneu, sensores e algoritmos baseados na nuvem, em que todos comunicam em tempo real», explica a Goodyear em comunicado.
“À medida que a mobilidade partilhada continua a crescer em popularidade, vemos situações em que os quilómetros percorridos por cada veículo aumentarão substancialmente nos próximos anos”, disse Chris Delaney, presidente da Goodyear Europa, Oriente Médio e África. “Para operadores de frotas, gerenciar proactivamente problemas de serviços de pneus é fundamental tanto para a experiência do cliente como para o modelo de negócios”.

O protótipo de pneu inteligente Goodyear permite conectividade contínua e partilha de dados em tempo real, permitindo o uso ideal de pneus para uma mobilidade mais segura e económica e um tempo de atividade maximizado.
Os sensores no pneu inteligente da Goodyear, juntamente com o veículo e informações de terceiros, fornecem dados em tempo real aos algoritmos propriedade da Goodyear. Graças a estes algoritmos, informações sobre identificação e status do pneu – incluindo desgaste, temperatura e pressão – são continuamente atualizadas e partilhadas com operadores de frotas.
